Africa Health Foundation
At Africa Health Foundation, our projects are designed to address the most pressing healthcare challenges in underserved communities across Africa. Each initiative is tailored to meet the specific needs of the regions we serve, focusing on long-term sustainability and community empowerment.
We collaborate closely with local partners to ensure that our projects have a lasting impact, helping communities build stronger healthcare systems that can continue to thrive long after our interventions.
Whether it’s producing wheelchairs for people with disabilities, setting up mobile clinics in remote areas, or educating families , our projects are driven by the belief that every individual deserves quality healthcare.
Lunzu Emergency Relief
Due to extreme weather conditions, causing floods throughout Malawi in 2022, a health crisis emerged at Lunzu village, South Malawi. We provided urgent aid, including the distribution of shelter and food. After visiting Lunzu village in 2023, we are commited to support the region with follow-up care.
Zomba District Disability Unit
This project aims to improve the lives of physically disabled children in the Zomba district of Malawi through the creation of a scalable and sustainable support model starting in Zomba and expanding to other districts, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MalawiDisability.info
The Malawi Disability Info Platform is a project aimed at creating a centralized, accessible database and website with practical and scientific information about disabilities in Malawi. The platform collects a wide range of resources, such as informational brochures, educational materials, manuals, scientific articles, and other relevant information to assist people with disabilities, their families, caregivers, and professionals. The focus is on accessibility, locally available assistive devices, support, and promoting inclusion. Users can search the information based on categories such as type of disability, age group, support needs, and key topics such as health, education, employment, and self-help.
